5th November 2011                              Craft Fayre

On Saturday the choir were again pleased to host a Caft Fayre at Bishop Gore School, Swansea.

The event was organised by chorister Pamela Duffy, herself a 'crafter' of Homemade Cards and supported by some 30 other 'crafters; displaying and selling numerous handmade items, including Jewellery, Tiaras, Canvas Bags, Christmas Decorations, Textiles, Handbags, Jams, Chutneys, Beeswax, PhotoArt, Cup Cakes, Organic Skin Care items, Quilts, Dolls Minatures, Booklets, Bookmarks, Woodturning items, Knitted Scarves, Craftilicious Cakes, Photography and a Caricature Artiste. Thank you to all for supporting this event and especially to Pamela for all her hard work with the organisation.

The ladies of the choir made homemade cakes for the 'choir cake stall' which was virtually sold out. Thank you to all the ladies of the choir who supplied the cakes and a special thank you to Angela and Julie for manning this stall and to one of them (you know who you are) for sampling the products.

A raffle was held at the Fayre for a Food Hamper, a Toiletries Hamper and a Tin of Chocolate Biscuits. Thank you to Dorothy, Hazel and Vanessa for selling the tickets to most if not all the people in the hall throughout the day.

Also a big thank you to Ffion and Thea for running a 'name the bunny' competition. The bunny was named 'Honey' and was won by a customer to the Fayre.

The ladies of the choir, under the leadership of secretary Linda, manned a 'field kitchen' selling homemade soup with a bread roll and tea, coffee and a slice of cake throughout the day. Thank you to all the ladies who assisted on the rota with this venture (serving and washing up) and for supplying the cakes. A special thank you to 'chef' Rhian for making the soup, excellent taste, superb recipe.

Finally, the choir committee would like to say thank you to everyone who supported this event in any way thus ensuring that the day was a great success.  THANK YOU.
