The
choir were joined by Morriston RFC Choir in a charity cocert at St Catherine's Church, Gorsenion with the concert proceeds going to St Catherine's Church and Ty Olwen.
The concert was very well patronised and both choirs were warmly greeted and very well appreciated by a near capacity audience.
Robert Harwood, a member of Morriston RFC Choir, was compere for the evening and both the ladies and gentlemen gave excellent perfprmances of varied programmes of music. He also introduced the ladies accompanist Veronika Hansson-Palo who gave two short recitals on the piano and Morriston RFC Bass- Baritone member Huw Roberts who also performed twice. Both soloists gave first class renditions and were thoroughly appreciated by the audience.
The ladies opened the concert and sang items ranging from classical works to West End musicals.
In the second half they performed 'Adiemus' by Karl Jenkins were Lynda and Ian Richards accompanied the ladies on pipe and drum.
Morriston RFC Choir gave an excellent performance of a well balanced programme again ranging from opera to
West End musicals. They included 'Siyahamba' a Zulu prayer performed in the Zulu langage
.
The choirs joined together at the end of the concert to sing 'Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau'.
