The Annual Patrons Concert was held at All Saint's Church, Oystermouth Swansea and featured Joshua Mills, Tenor, winner of the Swansea Excelsior Ladies Choir Student Award (SELCSA) 2010, who with the ladies of the choir performed to an enthusiastic audience which included Guests of Honour the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Swansea, Councillor Richard Lewis and Mrs Angela Lewis and Honorary Vice President John Davies.

    
Local celebrity, Brian Sullivan (known as actor Brian Quinlan) was compere for the concert, his amusing stories and personal anecdotes kept the audience entertained.

The ladies gave a varied and balanced programme including items from West End Musicals and classical works. They were supported at the concert by guest accompanist Howell Price. The choir gave a superb presentation of Karl Jenkins song 'Adiemus' in which musical director Lynda Richards played the pipe and her husbsand Ian played the drum.

Joshua Mills gave two performances which were extremely well received by the audience. During the concert he was presented with his Swansea Excelsior Ladies Choir Student Award Certificate and winners cheque  

Eight choir members were recognised under the 'Loyalty Recognition' scheme and presented with their lapel pin badges. They were as follows:

  Hazel Arnold, Linda Jones, Alison Norman, Bethan Osmundsen and Audrey Tribe who were awarded with BRONZE status after 10 years service to the choir.   

  Pauline Quinn who was awarded with SILVER status after 15 years service to the choir.

  Dorothy Macken who was awarded with DIAMOND status after 25 years service to the choir.

  Musical Director  Dorothy Chaplin was awarded with PLATINUM status after 30 years service to the choir. She received a specially commisioned gold lapel pin badge that had been presented to her at her 80th birthday celebration party.

After the concert Patrons were invited to a buffet supper in the church hall. The ladies of the choir had been involved with the preparation and supply of numerous items of food which was thoroughly enjoyed by the Patrons, guests and chorsiters.  A big THANK YOU to the ladies for their efforts on the night and generosity for providing the food.

During the buffet the prize draw was held. The first prize 'Food Hamper' was won by Frank Quinn, Norton, Swansea.

The Patrons specific raffle prize, Marks & Spencer vouchers, was won by Mrs Judith Joyce, Norton, Swansea, Patron Number 65.
