CHOIR CHRISTMAS PARTY 2014
The Choir held their Christmas Party, a fancy dress event, at All Souls Church hall on Monday 8th December.
This year the committee decided to treat the members to a 'Fish and Chips' supper as a thank you for all their efforts and support over the last twelve months. The hall was suitably decorated with festive tinsel and streamers, the tables laid with crackers, poppers and Christmas napkins. The evenings dress code was fancy dress and it was pleasing to see that the majority of guests entered the spirit of things, some choristers making their outfits. It was very nice to note that this year the Easter Bunny did not make an appearance. A big THANK YOU to Hazel and her team of '
Elfers
' for decorating the hall, preparing the tables and organising the order and delivery of the meals.
It was a successful, night enjoyed by all of the thirty four attendees. A quiz was held and it must be noted that this year the choir Champions were beaten into second place. There was also the usual raffle but this year the winners were treated to the delivery of their prizes by 'air mail' courtesy of Linda.
The individual fancy dress costumes were as follows:
Angela Ann Anne Jan
Anna Barbara Beth Bethan
Bette Carol Dorothy Fran
Gill Hazel Howard Jackie
Ann Jenny Judith Julia
Julie Julia Linda Liz
Lynda Mala Nicola Pam
Patricia Pauline Rita Stephanie
Vanessa & Fred Slappers
(or was it Flappers)
