The choir held their 2008 Christmas Dinner at the Holiday Inn, Filton, Bristol. This year it was decided to combine the annual Christmas dinner with a social weekend away. The choir travelled to Bath on Saturday morning for a few hours of retail therapy. The weather was kind, although cold the rain kept off. The usual 'in flight' service was suspended on this trip and replaced by hot bacon rolls, coffee and biscuits which all thoroughly enjoyed.Thank you to Choir Secretary, Linda Jones for getting up at 5:30 am to cook the bacon. After 'breakfast' the miles were whiled away with a quiz which was won by the reigning champions, Bethan, Dorothy and Linda. After shopping it was on to the Hoilday Inn at Filton for a chill out before dinner. An excellent meal was enjoyed by all before adjourning to the bar for a few drinks, a Christmas Quiz and socialising. A great weekend was enjoyed by those who attended as can be seen from the following photographs; hopefully everyone who joined in was captured on film. Finally a very big THANK YOU to Linda Jones for all her time and efforts in organising this superb weekend away for the ladies and one or two chaps.
