CHARITY DONATIONS
The choir exists for the study and performance of a variety of choral music. However a major aim of the choir is to raise funds for local worthwhile charities. Each year the choir members nominate a local charity or worthwhile cause that is close to their hearts and the full membership then decide on the one that will benefit from monies raised at the choirs Christmas concert.
Over the year the choir has donated many thousands of pounds to these local charities and causes as follows:
December 2011
RNLI Mumbles £1500
Cheque presentation at choir rehearsal, at Sketty Primary School on Monday 6th February 2012. The cheque was received by Mumbles Liferboat Deputy Second Coxwain Rob Tovey (right) and Crew Member and Press Officer 'Badger'.
